About Us

The Live and let Live is a country pub and restaurant in every sense of the word. The pub cannot be seen from any main road and is only accessible via a B.O.A.T which is a 'Byway Open To All Traffic' of which Herefordshire Council now maintain. It is set deep on to Bringsty common and is a place of solitude which allows you to escape the pressures of modern life, enjoy a meal, and have a drink alongside 220 acres of Herefordshire countryside and wildlife. In 2007 the ‘Live’ was restored using materials that were fitting of this gracious old building including putting a thatched roof back on to pay homage to the original cider house that it was in the 16th Century, what was created was a truly unique pub and restaurant in a setting that is unsurpassed in this current day and age.

With views across Bringsty Common and the Malvern Hills in the distance, the ‘Live’ offers a high standard of quality food with an ever changing menu to suit the seasons and local produce available. There is an extensive garden area to relax and be one with nature in the Summer or within the pub a beautiful large open fire roaring away keeping you warm in the Winter.

We really are dog friendly – that means dogs are welcome with you in the pub or garden at any time, the only thing we ask is that they are kept on a lead at all times. did you know we even do bags of doggy treats at the bar, far healthier than a bag of crisps to keep them happy.

During the colder months we have the underfloor heating on and although the dogs love it please be aware they could get very thirsty.

Because of our location we rely on good words passed on, Please read a few of the testimonials below

"This is an amazing little pub in the middle of nowhere. Friendly staff and one of the best Sunday roasts I've had for a long time!"

"An outstanding find, a beautiful country cottage pub serving wonderful food served by very attentive staff. Can highly recommend it to anyone travelling this area who fancies a coffee break, a full meal or just a drink"

"Most probably one of the most beautifully located Pubs in England, reasonably remote but easily accessible, set in rolling natural Commonland with Commanding views and providing optional external seating to take in the Vista (subject to weather). We have visited on several occasions, Lunch and Evening Meal and at various times of the year, never dissapointed, beautiful ancient Timber Framed Building, kept in what appears to be original condition (no doubt Grade 2 listed). Good selection of Local Ales from Ledbury and Wye Valley, Friendly Staff, excellent atmosphere, You have to try the Cod & Chips, The Fish is bought in Fresh Daily, and in a thin, crispy batter, it cannot be bettered ! The Menu iscomprehensive but not extensive, proving without doubt that only fresh ingredients are used. A definite must if You are in the area."

"This place is amazing! The decor is beautiful, and the food was pretty top notch! definitely recommending this place to my friends! (I was there for a small intimate private wedding reception in their upstairs room. it's a great place, and the staff are so wonderful and accommodating"

"This was my first visit despite being a local girl! Beautiful building, stunning views of The Malverns and an immaculate garden. Despite being busy, the young waitresses were friendly and attentive. The food was delicious! Definitely recommend and will definitely be back!"
